Jeffrey Scott Bailey / Director and Choreographer
Mr. Bailey is a nationally renowned Director, Choreographer and Actor originally from Washington, D.C. now residing in Atlanta. Mr. Bailey is currently featured as “The Husband” in HGTV’s “Sleep On It” National TV commercial campaign (for which he also did the choreography) and can be seen as the lead in Toyota’s new regional campaign called “The Runner”. Mr. Bailey recently returned from starring as Mike TeaVee in The Kennedy Center’s National Tour of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka the Musical (Original Cast recording 2004) (Presidential Command Performance- White House 2006). Prior to Wonka, Mr. Bailey spent the past three years starring as Tony Whitcomb in Shear Madness (The longest running play in American history) at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Previous Credits include: The International and National touring companies of the Broadway musicals: Fame the Musical (Max/Goody), Dreamgirls (Dave), A Chorus Line (Bobby), Grease (Doody) and Thumbelina (Finley).Directing credits include: You Can’t Take It With You, Pippin, Anything Goes, A Christmas Carol, A Midsummer Nights Dream, The Importance of Being Earnest, Neil Simon’s Rumors and The Off- Broadway workshop and subsequent World Premier of Abbey Victoria the Musical. Mr. Bailey danced professionally in New York City with The Eglevsky Ballet and Lee Theodore’s American Dance Machine. Mr. Bailey was the Artistic Director of the Metropolitan Ballet Theatre 2002-2004 and Resident Choreographer to The Potomac Classical Ballet 1995-2000. Mr. Bailey received his invitation into the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SSDC) in 2001, and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity (AEA).
